Woman robbed of Rs 1.8 million at bank premises

A woman has been robbed of Rs 1.8 million at the premises of the Mid Baneshwor-based Global IME Bank in the capital on Wednesday.

According to police, unidentified motorcycle-borne men robbed Saraswati Acharya at the parking of the bank while she was starting her scooter after drawing money from the bank.

Spokesperson at Metropolitan Police Commissioner´s Office (MPCO) Narayan Singh Khadka informed that the robbers snatched the bag containing the money and ran off with the fortune.

Khadka said police, in large number, have been fanned out to nab the looters.
