U-16 football team leaves for Bangladesh

The national Under-16 football team has left for Bangladesh today to play in the Third SAFF Championship .

Lawmaker and All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) chair Ganesh Thapa bid farewell to the team amid a function organized at the ANFA complex Satdobato, Lalitpur today and expressed best wishes for success.

The game is scheduled to begin from August 9. Different six countries are participating in the game and Nepal is in Group B. Maldives and Afghanistan are in Group B along with Nepal.

Though it is the SAFF game, Pakistan and Bhutan are not participating in it. Nepal will face Maldives on August 10.

The Nepalese team comprises goal keepers Arpan Karki, Akash Ranabhat and Sandesh Gurung, defenders Roman Limbu, Laxman Pariyar, Rajan Gurung, Pawan Karki, Anos Magar, Suman Aryal and Ashish KC.

Similarly, other players in the team are midfielders Abhishek Rijal, Divas Urau, captain Manish Karki, Sheshehang Angdambe, Anil Maharjan, Bikas Ale, forwards Rajib Lopchan, Rejin Subba, Dinesh Henjan, Prijan Tamang, Rajesh Pariyar and Kshitiz Raj GT.

Similarly, Upendra Man Singh and Rajendra Manandhar are the chief coaches and assistant trainer of the team respectively. RSS
