Three pilgrims killed in Pyuthan jeep fall

Three persons were killed and five others were seriously injured when a jeep carrying pilgrims met with an accident in Pyuthan district on Saturday.

According to police, the jeep, Ba 14 Cha 3839, en route to Dang from Swogradwari skidded of the road and fell some 30 meters down the road at Bingri Danda.

The deceased are Bimala Khanal, 19, Asmita Khanal, 13, and Sukhdev Khanal, 50, of Tuslipur-19, Urahari. All of them died on the spot, according to District Police Office, Pyuthan.

Police said Kamala Khanal, Kaushila Khanal, Sharada Khanal, Basanta Khanal and Duwa Khanal of the same place were injured in the mishap.

They have been taken to Nepalgunj for treatment.
