Two people were killed when a passenger bus collided with a motorcycle at Arun-River jungle area, Nawalparasi along the east-west highway on Thursday night.
Residents of Naya-Belahani-8, Arunkhola, 25-year old Bhupa Koirala and Prem Koirala were killed when their motorcycle (Na 2 Kha 8425) crashed with the bus (Na 32 Pa 332) headed west, coming from the opposite direction.
According to Nawalparasi District Police Office, Bhupa Koirala died on the spot while Prem Koirala died while under treatment at Bharatpur.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed after a truck and a jeep collided at Bhuri in Kohalpur section of the east-west highway in Bardiya district.
A passenger in the jeep (Ra 1 Ja 292), Maya Gyawali, died on spot after the truck (Na 3 Kha 9073) headed to Baitadi from Butwal hit the Kohalpur bound jeep.
Eleven other passengers traveling in the bus were injured in the accident.
The injured are getting treated at the Kohalpur Nepal Medical College, according to Traffic Police Office in Kohalpur.
According to the police, the accident occurred due to a thick fog in the area.
