Stage set for NADA Auto Show

Nepal Automobile Dealers´ Association (NADA) has said all preparations for the NADA Auto Show 2014 have been completed.

Speaking at an interaction program organized by Nepal Republic Media (NRM) on Sunday, officials of NADA said that all the stalls have been booked and the stall designing works were at the last stage.

The mega event of domestic automobile industry is beginning at the Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall from Wednesday.

“We have completed all preparations much earlier this time so that the auto show goes on smoothly,” Shambhu Prasad Dahal, coordinator of the event, said, adding: “We are hopeful that the event will be more successful this year.”

According to Dahal, the auto show would be instrumental for the growth of domestic automobile industry.

The five-day event will have a total of 100 stalls spread over 85,000 square feet.

According to NADA, 53 local and foreign exhibitors are participating in the event. They will showcase 12 brands of four-wheelers and 11 brands of two-wheelers.

Daihastu, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Nissan, Skoda, Suzuki, Tata, Volkswagen, Bajaj, Hero, KTM, Mahindra, Royal Enfield, Terra Motors, TVS, UM Bikes and Yamaha, among others are the brands participating in the auto show.

The auto show will also have stalls of financial institutions, online marketing firms, and firms dealing on spare parts, lubricants, tires, generators, garage equipments and batteries, among others.

NADA has allotted different sections for two-wheelers, four-wheelers and commercial vehicles. The auto is expected to record total turnover of around Rs 1 billion. It is expected to draw around 50,000 visitors.
