Results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations that were held in March will be published within 10 days, according to officials.
According to the Office of the Cotroller of Examinations (OCE), a total of 615,553 students were registered with the OCE to take the examinations. However, 7,000 to 8,000 students were absent during the SLC exams. “These absentees include the candidates who were disqualified to take the exams due to lack of necessary documents and expelled ones,” said Krishna Prasad Kapri, controller at the OCE.
Kapri said that the SLC results would be published before June 22. “The results are likely to be published from June 20 to 22. Answer-sheet checking has been already completed. We are verifying the number of answer sheets, students and computerizing the entry data as part of the preparation,” he said.
This is the first time the SLC results will be published based on the letter grading system. The SLC exams including practical and technical tests were held from March 31 to April 11 across the nation.
