The results for this year’s SLC examinations are likely to be delayed by two weeks, the Office of the Controller of Examination said.
The results for the SLC examinations held this year would be published in the last week of June, although it published SLC results by mid-June in the previous years, said Exam Controller Bishnu Bahadur Dware. The delay was caused due to uncertainty following the April 25 earthquake, he said.
“Answer sheets from across the country have arrived and data entry work is carried out right now,” Dware told Republica. He added that the data entry work would take another three weeks.
The final verification takes around a week after the data entry, he added. “The office is committed to publishing the results within three months after the exams,” he said.
Over 574,000 students had appeared in the SLC examinations held from March 19 to 29.
A total of 326,214 regular and 145,183 students appeared in the examinations. For the first time, the technical subject examinees will receive their results under the new grading system. Some 3,288 students of technical subjects have appeared in SLC, 2,037 of whom are boys and 1,252 girls.
