Seven killed in Nawalparasi vehicle collision

NAWALPARASI: By 6:00 pm in evening, the death toll reached seven. Five of them have been identified.

According to police, six women and a man died in the accident.

Two deceased women are yet to be identified.

Sabiru Nisha Fakir (44), Maharun Nisha Fakir (50), Sayara Nisha Fakir (35), Phuleshwari Pasi (30) and Hosen Miya (35) were killed in the accident, according to police.

Injured persons are undergoing treatment at various health facilities of Nawalparasi and Rupandehi districts.

As many as 21 persons were hurt in the accident, according to police.

Nawalparasi vehicle collision toll reaches six

NAWALPARASI: Police said the death toll reached six. Two men breathed last while undergoing treatment at Rupandehi-based Devdaha Medical College.

Meanwhile, the four persons, who were killed on the spot, have been identified as female. Their complete identity, however, is yet to be ascertained.

Police Inspector Kumar Prasad Mainali said more than 20 persons have injured in the accident.

4 killed when ambulance‚ bus‚ bike collide

NAWALPARASI: Four persons were killed and several others injured when an ambulance, a bus and a motorcycle collided in Basa of Nawalparasi district on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred when the bus (Na 5 Kha 2183), heading towards Narayanghat from Butwal collided head-on against the ambulance (Lu 1 Cha 3730) coming from opposite direction. A motorcycle (Lu 5 Pa 6494) also collided against the bus.

Two passengers each in the bus and ambulance, both women, were killed on the spot while others injured were taken to nearby health facilities for treatment.

Police said the identity of the deceased and the number of those injured in mishap are yet to be revealed.
