Robber nabbed after 16 days of crime

A man has been nabbed on charge of robbery in Syuchatar on the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley today.

He had allegedly robbed a 25-year-old woman at her rented room on, police said.

The arrestee has been identified as Keshav Sunar (34) alias Milan, a driver by profession. He hails from Mangkha-5 of Sindhupalchok district, police added.

Sunar had robbed the woman of her jewelleries and cash by tying her up with her shawl in Balambu-2 of Kathmandu district on September 30. He had pointed a knife at her neck and threatened to kill her in case she would make a noise, said police.

He had been contacting her since June-July of the year. He had proposed her to marry him claiming himself an Armed Police Force employee.

Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Hanumandhoka nabbed him with a sliver necklace, a mobile phone, driving licence and 8 SIM cards.

He has been taken to Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigation.
