Rastriya Naachghar staff in protest

Staff at the Rastriya Naachghar are staging a protest halting their works in order to exert pressure for fulfillment of their demands. They had been putting for the demands for the last 10 months.

They have blamed the Recruitment Committee for failing to forward the process of their permanent recruitment since 2006 though it has 27 vacant quotas. The Naachghar has also failed to make the SAARC Summit expenses public, they have charged.

“We have sought resignation of the General Manager Shalikram Timilsina as he failed to address our demands,” said Bipin Ghimire, one of the agitating officials.

“We have also drawn due attention of the Ministry concerned, but were forced to organise protest halting the works as the Ministry did not take necessary initiatives,” he added.

Meanwhile, General Manager Timilsina said the corporation is positive towards demands of its staff.
