Persons with disabilities have organised a rally demanding promulgation of a disabled-friendly constitution.
The rally had started from the office of National Federation of the Disabled-Nepal at Bhrikutimandap in the Capital today.
It had converged into a corner meet at Bhadrakali.
Addressing the corner meet, the Federation Chair Sudarshan Subedi urged political parties and the Constituent Assembly to include their suggestions in the new constitution as over 5,000 disabled people had sent their suggestions demanding a disabled-friendly constitution.
Similarly, the Federation General Secretary Tika Dahal informed that they would be compelled to go for stern protests if their demands were not addressed.
It is stated that about three million people in the country are disabled.
