The whole country including Kathmandu valley is experiencing rainfall along with thunderstorm on Thursday.
According to Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), Kathmandu is experiencing rainfall with thunderstorm due to the winds blowing from the Arabian Sea and low pressure generated inside the country. However, Jhapa district has remained dry.
According to DHM meteorologist Barun Poudel the rainfall that started yesterday will continue till Saturday. He said that thunderstorm will accompany the rains till 3 pm today followed by light drizzle afterwards.
Flights to and from the Capital have been affected due to the sudden change in weather. Druk Air of Bhutan was the only flight to take off since this morning. The DHM has urged not to operate any flights until there is some improvement in the weather.
