Raging fire destroys over dozen shops in Dadeldhura headquarters

A massive fire that broke out in Dadeldhura District headquarters on Saturday night gutted over a dozen shops and reduced properties worth over a billion rupees to ashes, District Administration Office informed.

The inferno, which supposedly started due to short circuit from a store belonging to Mahakali traders in Bagbazzar, completely destroyed half of the shops in the marketplace.

Nepal Army, Nepali Police with the help from locals were able to douse the fire on Sunday morning. The fire had started at around 2 am on Sunday
midnight.
