Ministers and leaders from various political parties rafted along Bagmati River with an aim to raise awareness on Bagmati Cleaning Campaign on Tuesday morning.
Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Minister for Urban Development Narayan Khadka, Minister for Law and Justice Narahari Acharya and Chief secretary Leela Mani Poudal participated in the rafting campaign that started from Gothatar to Pahupatinath Temple area.
Similarly, representatives from nine various diplomatic missions, high level officials from Nepal Police and representatives from Pashupati Area Development Trust also boated along the river as a part of the campaign.
Minister Khadka said that they participated in the rafting campaign with a purpose to raise awareness among people about Bagmati Cleaning Campaign nationally and internationally.
He further added that the campaign also aimed at informing people about the continuity of the Bagamati river cleanliness program being conducted since long.
