A Legislature-Parliament meeting held on Friday has tabled a resolution motion in response to the April 25 earthquake.
Speaking at the meeting today Prime Minister Sushil Koirala said the government will provide each quake-hit victim Rs 200,000 for the reconstruction of their houses collapsed during the April 25 earthquake and Rs 100,000 for the family of each deceased.
Similarly, Prime Minister Koirala said the reconstruction works of schools, hospitals, bridges and powerhouses, etc, broken down in the earthquake will be rebuilt within two years.
Likewise, the rebuilding of national heritage sites of cultural and historical importance broken down in the earthquake will be completed within five years.
The resolution says Nepal Rastra Bank will provide a house loan up-to Rs 250 million to the victims at 2 percent interest rate inside and Rs 1.5 million outside the Kathmandu Valley.
