Public vehicle for women passengers hits the road

Women friendly transport service has begun in the capital from Sunday.

The Bagmati Transport Entrepreneurs Association began this service with four Minibuses from Kalanki to Kaushaltar.

Secretary at Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Tulasi Prasad Sitaula launched the service amid a function here today.

He shared that big buses would be launched in the capital soon for the public.

On the occasion, Metropolitan Traffic Police spokesperson, Basant Pant said that the traffic police were taking action against the male passengers found sitting on reserved seat for women in public buses. RSS
