Provincial police should be under Nepal Police: Nepal Police

Expressing disagreement over the proposal of independent police organization in each province in the preliminary draft of the new constitution, Nepal Police have suggested to keep provincial police organizations under their command.

Article 263 of the preliminary draft of the new constitution envisages Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Central Investigation Bureau under the purview of central government and independent police organization in each province.

Top police officials led by Inspector General of Police Upendra Kanta Aryal today reached Constituent Assembly Secretariat and suggested Chairman Subas Nembang to make arrangements of provincial Nepal Police instead of independent provincial police organizations.
