Security has been beefed up at Nagdhunga, the main entry point for Kathmandu Valley, taking account of protest by Federal Alliance on Sunday.
Police have toughened security checks on vehicles entering the capital city.
The Federal Alliance however, accused the government of barring its cadres from entering Kathmandu.
General Secretary of Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, Jitendra Sonal claimed that police have stopped the cadres at Nagdhunga.
“Some 12 vehicles carrying cadres have been stopped at the entry point for no reason,” he said.
The government said it won’t hinder any peaceful protest.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Yadav Koirala said that vehicles entering Kathmandu have been checked for security reasons.
