Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, currently in United States of America for treatment of lung cancer, is returning home on Tuesday.
According to Nepali Congress Chief Secretary Rishikesh Tiwari, PM Koirala will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at around 8:05 pm on July 22 through an Air Etihad flight.
Koirala, who left for US on June 16, received treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. During his stay there, he underwent through five rounds of radiotherapy.
Koirala is scheduled to go through post radiotherapy follow-up after three months.
Koirala, who underwent surgery for tongue cancer seven years ago, was diagnosed with lung cancer during medical checkup some three weeks ago.
A cancerous lesion with 2.2 centimeter in size was diagnosed in the upper right part of his lungs.
