Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is to be administered radiotherapy for the fifth time at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York of the United States of America on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister had been given radiotherapy treatment for the fourth time on Tuesday. He is receiving radiotherapy for the treatment of the localized lesion of the lungs since June 26, according to Dr Karbir Nath Yogi, the Prime Minister’s personal physician who is accompanying him.
Dr Yogi said doctors involved in PM Koirala’s treatment have advised giving radiotherapy treatment to the PM five times.
A press release issued today by Prakash Adhikari, the Prime Minister’s press coordinator, quotes Dr Yogi as saying that the Prime Minister was in good health.
It is stated in the press release that doctors involved in PM’s treatment would review his health condition after the conclusion of the application of radiotherapy for the fifth time. The date for Prime Minister Koirala returning home would be determined only after consulting the doctors.
