Petrol, diesel, kerosene dearer by Rs 4.50/litre

The Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 4.50 per litre.

Bhanubhakta Khanal, spokesperson for NOC, said the new prices would come into effect from today midnight. Following the new adjustment in fuel prices, petrol will cost Rs 101.5 per litre while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 77.5 per litre.

“We have increased fuel price in line with increased fuel rate that Indian Oil Corporation has sent for the second half of December,” said Khanal, adding that the increased rate will also bring down price gap of petroleum products in the southern border areas.

NOC, however, has not adjusted the price of liquefied petroleum gas, commonly known as cooking gas, this time.
