According to Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), 338,932 people have left the valley by Wednesday. The reason for leaving KTM is either people want to go back home and check with their family and/or because of the fear that stronger earthquake hits ktm.
According to MTPD chief DIG Jay Bahadur Chand, 66,520 people left valley in 4,592 vehicles on Wednesday alone. “This figures could double by this evening,” Chand said.
However, Chand said, people inbound to Kathmandu is very low with only 14, 889 people travelling into the Capital in 3,335 vehicles.
Educational organisations like HISSAN, PABSON and NPABSON are providing free transportation service through 78 vehicles.
