Parliament to pass the budget on October 13

An agreement has been made to pass the budget in the parliament for Fiscal Year 2014/15 on October 13.

After the conclusion of the three major political parties’ meeting, the work-management advisory committee meeting held on Friday decided to hold discussions on appropriated budgets of all ministries on Monday, October 12, and pass the budget on Tuesday, October 13.

Work-process of the government’s through various ministries was affected for a long time due to UCPN (Maoist) led alliance’s obstruction of the Parliament.

After a five-point agreement between the three major parties — Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and the UCPN (M) — on Wednesday, the regular proceedings of the parliament have finally resumed.
