The Non Resident Nepali Association ( NRNA ) has declared to contribute Rs 100 million to support the rescue and relief of the earthquake victims.
Likewise, the NRNA President Shesh Ghale and his wife Jamuna Gurung have announced a relief package of Rs 20 million through MIT Group Foundation. Similarly, NRNA Vice President Bhawan Bhatta will provide Rs 10 million, informed NRNA .
According to NRNA , this is the first phase of their assistance programme. So far, 70 million has been already raised, said NRNA .
In the first phase of its assistance programme, the NRNA will focus the assistance to the highly affected areas like Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Rasuwa, Kavre and Ramechhap districts. It has targeted to assist 10,000 families in its first phase of rescue operation.
It has decided to mobilise 1,000 health workers in the earthquake affected areas that are highly prone to the outbreak of epidemic.
