Nepal Oil Corporation has started to distribute gas cylinders from various places in the Capital in an attempt to ease the current gas crisis.
NOC spokesperson Mukunda Ghimire informed that the state oil monopoly will sell cylinders from New Baneshwor, Koteshwor, Battisputali, Shankhamul, Maitighar, Buddhanagar and Babarmahal. The step has been initiated with collaboration with gas dealers.
NOC plans to sell cylinders until Febuary 10. The cylinders will be sold on every other day, Ghimire said.
On Wednesday, NOC officials discussed with Indian Oil Corporation officials after Chief Secretary Leela Mani Paudel directed to ease gas crisis within 10 days.
NOC has claimed that the current distribution of gas will ease crisis in next two weeks.
