Nepal is going to meet Papua New Guinea (PNG) under the fifth match of the ICC Twenty20 Qualifier World Cup Selection match, to be held in Dublin, Ireland at 2:45 pm tomorrow.
Nepali squad led by Paras Khadka stands a slim chance to qualify for the World Cup Twenty20 Cricket Competition to be held in India in 2016 as the Nepali team, placed in Group A in the competition, has recently conceded five-wicket defeat from Hong Kong.
In the ongoing competition where Nepal has played four matches, it emerged a winner in only one match- against America by six wickets- whereas Nepal conceded defeat in two matches while another ended in a draw.
Nepal lost to Netherlands by eight wickets while Namibia and Nepal shared points since the match was disrupted by rain.
The next competitor, PNG, is considered a strong team in cricket. Nepal is going to lock its horns against PNG for the fourth time.
Nepal, bearing three points, ranks fifth in the ongoing competition while Papua New Guinea, with five points, is ranked second in the match.
Similarly, host country Ireland, with 6 points, stands atop in the competition. RSS
