Prime Minister Sushil Koirala reached New Delhi on Monday and participated in the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhawan. This is Koirala’s first visit to India as Nepal’s PM.
Koirala will hold talks with Modi, India’s President Pranab Mukherjee, Bharatiya Janata Party President Raj Nath Singh, Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Maldives President Abdulla Yameen on Tuesday, said PM’s press coordinator Prakash Adhikari.
Koirala will also attend a dinner hosted by Nepali Embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday. On Monday, Koirala met the outgoing Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, at the official residence of the Indian prime minister.
