KATHMANDU: Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body of football, has ranked Nepal 183rd, according to a new ranking of the FIFIA made public today.
Nepal had lost to Iraq and Kuwait 4-0, 5-0 respectively during the 17th Asian Games held in Incheon City of Korea.
With the defeat, Nepal dropped to 183rd position from 166th.
Nepal are in the second last postion after Bhutam among South Asia nations. Afghanistan is in the top position.
Germany are in the first postion in the FIFA ranking.
Similarly, Argentina are in the second position whereas Colombia are in the third position.
There are altogether 208 countries in the FIFA ranking.
