The 13th edition of Dharmashree National Open Bodybuilding Championship 2014 will begin at Nepal Police Training Academy, Maharajgunj in the capital on Friday.
The inaugural day of the two-day event will feature pre-judging round on Friday and final round on Saturday.
Around 100 bodybuilders will participate in the event, which will feature 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg and above 75 kg categories, informs the organiser Narayan Pradhan, president, Nepal Byayam Mandir.
In the pre-judging round, each winner from six weight categories will make it to the final round.
However, the players finishing second and third from each weight groups will have to satisfy for Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively along with medals and letter of appreciation.
The winners from pre-judging round will vie for the title in the overall round at Nepal Academy Hall at Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
The title holder will bag Rs 200,000 while the runner-up will get Rs 100,000. Similarly, the third will receive Rs 75,000 followed by Rs 60,000 to fourth, Rs 50,000 to fifth and Rs 40,000 to sixth.
Lokendra Pariyar had won the title in the last championship.
