Nepal Army has commenced the flight operations of two Russia n-made Mi-17 helicopters from Monday. Prime Minister Sushil Koirala flagged off the service of the helicopters amidst a function here in the Capital today.
PM Koirala, along with some other ministers, flew off to Jharlang of Dhading in the helicopter, to distribute the relief items to the earthquake victims.
The choppers were brought to Tribhuvan International Airport on June 9 from Russia . Nepal Army procured the technologically sophisticated helicopters for Rs 3.18 billion to strengthen the Army’s mobility.
