BHOJPUR: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has slashed the number of regular flights from Bhojpur to Biratnagar.
The Corporation which had been operating three flights in a week decided to operate only one flight every week on Tuesday.
However, there will be three regular flights from Bhojpur to Kathmandu on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as per the previous schedule, Chief of NAC Bhojpur Station Utsav Joshi said.
Joshi said that the NAC has decided to cut the number of flights after the regular bus service from Bhojpur to Dharan and Biratnagar came into use lately.
According to him, lack of airplane in NAC is another reason behind the reduced number of flights.
Locals said that though the NAC cut the number of flights from the district citing lack of passengers, the decision will create problems.
Bhakat Bahadur Shrestha, a local said the NAC’s decision will mar the sick and differently-abled persons.
