‘NA performs well in Britain’s Exercise Cambrian Patrol’

Nepal Army (NA) team have performed well in their debut participation in the Exercise Cambrian Patrol in mid-Wells of the United Kingdom organised by British Army recently. 

As many as 119 military teams from 18 nations had participated in the annual military exercise event that includes a number of competitions including link-up operation, chemical biological radiological nuclear (CBRN) test, mine clearance and combat life saver and river crossing. 

Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Gaurav Shumsher Rana on Thursday awarded the participants at a special function organised at the NA Headquarters. 

NA had earned a silver medal in the Patrol. 

An eight-member team from Pashupati Prasad Battalion under the command of Captain Prahlad Ghale had represented NA in the event. 

The team had returned home on Sunday.

NA’s success in such a challenging competition proved that its training policies are excellent, NA Directorate of Public Relations said in a statement today. 

Likewise, NA expressed its hope that such events will strengthen the institution’s relationship with other international military organisations.
