Lalitpur Mall, located in Lagankhel, began operations on Friday. The mall was inaugurated by Minister for Finance Ram Sharan Mahat.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mahat said such malls across the country was the need of the time as they would help consumers find all kinds of products under the same roof. “Malls like this play a vital role in increasing economic activity thereby helping the national economy grow,” Mahat said.
Addressing the ceremony, Nepal Dangol, the chairman of Lalitpur Mall, said the mall would strive to cater to every demand from customers. “This is the first of its type mall in Lalitpur. We are committed to serve quality products to customers at competitive rates,” Dangol said.
Marking the occasion, Lalitpur Mobile Complex also opened for business inside the mall. The complex is organizing a seven-day-long mobile expo that kicked off Friday. Speaking about the mobile exposition, Lalitpur Mobile Complex Chairman Purshottam Basnet said the event would showcase mobile devices and their accessories to Lalitpur-based customers. “Lalitpur is a potential mobile device market and the Lalitpur Mobile Complex has been established to bring the mobile device market closer to home and offer customers mobile devices and accessories as per their demand,” Basnet said.
Basnet said customers will get cash discounts — ranging from seven percent to 70 percent — during period of the expo.
The complex will offer mobile devices from various brands like Samsung, Huawei, Micromax, Gionee, iPhone, HTC, Microsoft, DTC, Lava, Colors, Sony, LG, BlackBerry, Panasonic and Karbonn.
“Lalitpur Mobile Complex is committed to serve mobile device users by every means in future,” Basnet added.
