Police have arrested incumbent member of the Constituent Assembly from Sadbhawana Party, Sanjay Kumar Sah, a mastermind behind the infamous Janakpur bomb blast that took the lives of five, injuring 32 on April 30, 2012.

Birendra Karna/RSSSah was arrested from Chhapkaiya of Birgunj from near Nepal-India border on Saturday night, following which, Dhanusha District Police made Sah public through a press meet at 11 a.m. Sunday.
“Sah has been now taken to Dhanusha District Court for legal prosecution,” Debendra Thakur, a police officer with Dhanusha Police Control Room told Nepalnews.
The court hearing will decide as to how long Sah will be remanded to judicial custody for further investigation into the case.
Earlier, Mukesh Chaudhary and Om Prakash Yadav – two of Sah’s aides were arrested for the blast. Chaudhary and Yadav had confessed to the police that Sah had planned and executed the heinous act.
Saha was elected a CA member from Dhanusha-4. He still holds the position of Sadbhawana party’s senior vice president.
Meanwhile, the parliament secretariat has suspended the CA membership of Sah, following the filing of the lawsuit against him at the Dhanusha District Court.
Sah will not be able to participate in the CA meeting from here onward, until the court takes a decision in the bomb blast case.
