Indian Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Kathmandu at the beginning of August following the Modi government’s policy of ‘maintaining harmonious and friendly relationship’ with its South Asian neighbors.
Singh will attend the Home Ministerial level meeting of the SAARC countries to finalise the common ideology on the matters of South Asian security roadmap and Iraq insurgency .
During the home ministerial meeting, discussions will be held on the preparations being made for the upcoming 18th SAARC summit to be hosted by Nepal on November.
Likewise, Singh is expected to hold discussions with his Nepali counterpart Bamdev Gautam on the extradition treaty and mutual legal assistance to be incorporated between Nepal and India.
In an information made public on Friday, Singh will be holding discussions regarding the Indian Capital being a ‘transit’ for the human trafficking. “Singh will propose an observation and control mechanism for the South Asian to avoid human trafficking,” claimed sources.
Prior to this, Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed about the visit of Indian External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj’s three days visit to Nepal from July 25.
