Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj is set to visit Nepal toward the end of July, Indian media reported. The visit is taking place as part of commitment of the new Indian government to give priority to neighboring countries, PTI said Sunday.
However, exact date of her visit has yet to be confirmed. According to the report, both the countries have geared up for the preparation of her first ever Nepal visit one since she became Indian foreign minister.
In her first official visit abroad after assuming office, Swaraj visited neighboring Bangladesh recently.
”Sushma´s visit is a clear reflection of the new government´s firm belief that for India´s economic growth and development, a stable and peaceful neighborhood with which it has strong ties was very important,” PTI quoted MEA officials.
