House panel dubs two-shift working system impractical

State Affairs Committee of the Parliament on Sunday dubbed recently introduced two-shift working system as impractical and directed the government to operate offices according to weather changes.

The Committee this afternoon called Minister for General Administration Lalbabu Pandit and told him that the government’s decision to provide services from 6 am to 6pm in the government offices was not practical.

The government on December 16 launched the 12-hour service to provide urgent services in the government offices with a view to providing prompt, efficient and hassle-free services to the service seekers.

The Committee has also directed the government to provide quality services in the Civil Service Hospital.
