Govt releases Rs 1.35 billion to 47 districts

The government has released Rs 1.35 billion as monetary assistance meant for victims of the April 25 earthquake. The government released the amount from the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund for victims in 47 districts as of Sunday evening.

Some Rs 260.71 million has been sent to the most affected Sindhupalchowk district, while 80.7 million has been provided to Gorkha district, the epicenter of the devastating earthquake. The Ministry of Home Affairs said it has provided money to other districts as per the demand and need.
