The Committee on Environment Protection of the Legislature Parliament has expressed concerns over the government’s decision to extend the date for the crusher entrepreneurs till the second week of January. The committee has also sought government’s opinion on the same.
A meeting of the committee held on Wednesday dubbed the government’s decision to crudely extend the date because of the strike called by the entrepreneurs as a ‘shameful decision’.
The committee members also expressed their dissent over the absence of Forest Minister Mahesh Acharya and ministerial team at the meeting. The parliamentary committee had summoned the Forest Minister to inform about gravel, stone, sand and Chure conservation.
