Government to vacate public places to ease security till Jan 22

The Government has boosted security within the valley keeping in view the possible security threats till January 22, the mandated time of delivering the new constitution.

Suspecting agitations during that time, government is also vacating places in the city to keep agitators after their arrest.

In coordination with Chief district officers, government is evacuating some Nepal police barracks and few public places for protesters.

Keeping in view the possible security challenges till Jan 22, government has planned to vacate Mahendra Police club, Department of Co-operative and many more places, a source privy to the development said.

“Keeping in mind possible demonstrations, homework is underway to vacate for further ease’’, the source said, “District Security Committee is working for the cause.”
