The death toll in the Gorkha Earthquake on April 25 has reached 8,046 so far.
According to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) at the Home Ministry, a total of 17,866 people were injured in the quake.
The highest number of people was killed in Sindhupalchok district, which is 3,107 while 1,222 died in Kathmandu district.
A total of 10,803 government offices and buildings suffered complete damages due to the quake while 15,034 were partially damaged, according to NEOC.
Similarly, 296,903 houses of general people suffered complete damages and 277,050 houses sustained partial damages.
Rescue and relief task is underway, according to the Home Ministry.
Meanwhile, no aftershock was recorded today so far, according to the National Seismological Centre.
Before this, four aftershocks of over 4 Richter scale were recorded on Sunday. A total of 160 aftershocks over 4 Richter scale have occurred so far after the 7.6 Richter scale Gorkha Earthquake.
