Gang uses sedative drug to rob man in Capital

A group of around three individuals have looted one Shyam Raj Subedi (37) of his Rs 24,000 in cash.

The robbery took place at around 9 pm yesterday in Katyani Chowk-34, Kathmandu. Subedi, who hails from Dhading district, is a temporary resident of Old Baneshwor.

According to police, the persons forcibly pressed a handkerchief tainted with unidentified sedative against the nose of the victim. The robbery took place when he turned unconscious.

The victim is undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal.

Police have launched a man hunt to nab the culprits.
