The deadly earthquake has ravaged five VDCs in northern part of Dhading district that shares its borders with Tibet, the autonomous region of China. Similarly, the disaster has devastated Phulkharka and Baseri VDCs in mid-Dhading.
According to Chief District Officer Basu Dev Ghimire, 241 people were killed in these seven VDCs while around 400 people have sustained injures.
A preliminary investigation report suggests that out of 8,000 houses in these five VDCs, 7,000 houses have been completely damaged by the earthquake .
The area shares its border with Barpark, the epicenter of the deadly earthquake that struck on April 25.
According to locals, only two kg of rice and tarpaulin to each family have been provided by the government. They have been demanding relief materials to be distributed via helicopters.
