Dr Govinda KC has warned that he would launch a fresh fast-unto-death again starting September 11 unless the 11-point deal reached with the government is not implemented by Thursday.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, senor orthopedic Surgeon Dr KC lashed out at the government saying that the government dillydallied to implement the deal even though the first meeting of the cabinet was supposed to endorse it as per the deal.
The government had signed an 11-point deal with Dr KC on Saturday to broker an end to his hunger strike.
“It appears that state actors are hell-bent in obstructing the process of constituting medical commission and medical education policy envisaged to bring sustainable reforms in the medical sectors,” reads the statement.
Although it was agreed that the Monday’s cabinet would endorse formation of the commission, the government has delayed the process by sending it to the cabinet’s social affairs committee.
