In a bid to promote the concept of technology-based policing, Nepal Police has installed digital check-points in all four entries to the Capital city.
Issuing a press statement today, police said CCTVs and solar panels have been installed in Nagdhunga, Pharping, Tin-Piple and Jagati. The new digital check-points started operation on Wednesday this week.
Apart from that, police have also brought into use the various dysfunctional CCTV cameras spread across various places in the Maitighar-Tinkune road stretch. The cameras were brought back into action by connecting them to the new optical fibres in the area.
CCTV surveillance has also been introduced in Tinkune, Thapagaun and surrounding areas.
According to police, others areas in the Valley will also be brought under the surveillance of CCTV in near future.
