The death toll from Saturday’s deadly 7.9 magnitude quake that struck with its epicenter at Gorkha district has reached 3,815 as of Monday evening.
According to information provided by Home Ministry, 875 lost their lives in Sindhupalchwok and 808 have lost their lives in Kathmandu alone. Likewise, 247 in Dhading, 245 in Nuwakot, 223 in Gorkha, 232 in Bhaktapur, 191 in Kavre, 155 in Lalitpur, 150 in Rasuwa, 65 in Dolakha, 29 in Ramechhap, 33 in Makwanpur, 16 in Khotang and 15 in Okhaldhunga died in the catastrophe.
The ministry informed that 6,515 people have been injured. Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals are intensifying search and rescue operation.
