The state owned milk supplier Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has raised the pasteurised milk price by as much as ten-rupees.
The new price for full-cream milk is Rs 80 per litre, which was previously sold at Rs 70 per litre, registering an increase per litre by ten-rupees.
Similarly, the prices of standard non-skimmed milk and cow milk have increased by eight rupees per litre each.
While the consumers had to pay Rs 56 for a litre of standard milk previously, they will now pay Rs 64 and cow milk price has gone up from Rs 64 to Rs 72.
The new prices will be effective from Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
