Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has postponed bilateral T20 cricket series between the women’s team of India’s Railway Club and Nepali national team due to the three-day strike called by 30-party alliance led by the UCPN (Maoist).
According to CAN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bhawana Ghimire, Indian Railway Club had agreed to play around four T20 matches with the Nepali team beginning from April 3. However, the bilateral series was cancelled following the strike called by the political party. The 30-party alliance led by UCPN (Maoist) has called strike from Tuesday in the capital.
“We postponed the series due to the strike,” said Ghimire, who, however, added that the Indian team will probably visit Nepal in the next season. “We have plans for the exchange program.”
