Following the killing of justice Bam, Magar had flown to Saudi Arabia for foreign employment.

Magar, originally from Ramechap district, had reached Saudi Arabia via Future Link International Pvt Ltd, a Ratopul-based manpower company.

He was working as a truck driver for a construction company, according to CIB. Motorcycle-borne assailants had shot dead justice Bam at UN Park on May 31, 2012.
