Absconding Sanjaya Islami Magar aka Bhagwan, who had allegedly assassinated former Supreme Court Justice Rana Bahadur Bam, has been brought to home from Saudi Arebia on Sunday.
A CIB squad, which had flown to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, brought Magar to Nepal this morning.
Acting on Interpol’s Red Corner notice, the Saudi Arabia police had arrested Magar on March 25 from Saudi Arabia. Interpol had issued a diffusion notice on January 6 against Magar.
Following the killing of justice Bam, Magar had flown to Saudi Arabia for foreign employment.
Magar, originally from Ramechap district, had reached Saudi Arabia via Future Link International Pvt Ltd, a Ratopul-based manpower company.
He was working as a truck driver for a construction company, according to CIB. Motorcycle-borne assailants had shot dead justice Bam at UN Park on May 31, 2012.
Police had earlier nabbed Babu Thapa of Churebhawar Rastriya Party, Karan Chaudhary, Prem Raj Khadka and Dipak Karna on January 3 on the charge of Bam’s murder.
