CIAA recommends suspension 3 licence officials

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday recommended the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to suspend three Section Officers of the Bagmati Driving Licence Office under the Department of Transport Management.

Issuing a press release today, the CIAA said Dipak Regmi, Ishwar Regmi and Kul Prasad Parajuli of the Ekantakuna, Lalitpur-based Office made changes on electronic documents of the Office against the Transport Management Act, 2003.

The anti-corruption constitutional body also accused them of issuing driving licences against the law receiving bribes from service seekers.

Arguing that they may destroy evidences against them, if allowed to work in the position; the commission asked the Ministry to suspend them immediately for further investigation.
